The existing Baguio STP was built way back 1986 and only has a capacity of treat 8,500 cubic meter of liquiid waste daily yet to date the existing facility currently operates over 12,000 cubic meter of liquid waste daily in which is above its regular operating capacity. The main bulk of the liquid waste comes from the public market and abattoir.
To lessen the volume of the existing STP, the LGU aims to put up another STP dedicated to serve the city market and abttoirs. In collaboration with Veolia Water Technologies, EEOA has submitted to the city government of Baguio its Feasibility study and Preliminary Concept Design for the new Baguio City Sewage Treatment Plant Facility.
