In the year 2017, the Department of Science and technology, Industrial Development Institute – National Metrologo Laboratory (ITDI-NML) aimed to increase its capability and continously upholding its mandate and achieving its mission and vision.

The expansion and upgrade of the present ITDI-NML Building shall bring forth a state-of-the-art laboratory facility and additional office spaces for the agency. iy would house the Meterology in Chemistry and Bio-Metrology laboratories. The construction shall be done in phases. It started last 2018 and is targeted to finish by 2021.
